Jacu in Düsseldorf — Spring/Summer 2025 Buying Trip | Part 1
We're about to head to Düsseldorf for a few days of selecting some of our Spring/Summer 2025 collections — and while this city doesn’t always make the fashion headlines, it’s a key destination for discovering the kind of work we admire: quietly confident, well made, and carefully considered.
This trip is about reconnecting with the designers we already work with — including Umit Unal, Moyuru, SOH, La Vaca Loca, and La Haine Inside Us — and seeing where they’re taking things next. It’s also a chance to meet a few new names like Yeung Chin and Averse plus explore whether there’s something fresh to bring home to Marlow.
We’ve planned visits to several independent showrooms and curated trade events, with a focus on designers whose values align with ours — independent, ethical, and original. What we’re looking for isn’t trend-led fast fashion. We’re looking for pieces with lasting character. That might mean a beautifully cut jacket in an unusual fabric, or a small label doing something honest and new.
We always approach these trips with our customers in mind — how you live in the clothes you buy from us, what you tell us you’re drawn to, and how we can offer something that feels personal. Whether it’s a dramatic shape or a perfectly simple top, everything we choose needs to work in a real wardrobe, not just a showroom rail.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing a few behind-the-scenes moments and early impressions. If something stands out, we’ll let you know. And if you’re curious about anything — a particular brand, a style you’re hoping to see more of — let us know, and we’ll keep an eye out.
Part 2 will be coming soon, once we come back from and have seen more of what Düsseldorf has to offer.
