The Tristan Coat by Papucei is a beautifully dramatic longline coat, combining an understated black palette with an exaggerated sculptural shape and plenty of unexpected detail.

Made from a lightweight crinkled fabric, Tristan falls into a wonderfully generous silhouette that gradually curves out through the lower half, giving it an almost cocoon-like shape without feeling overly structured. The long length makes an immediate statement, while the relaxed cut leaves plenty of room for layering underneath.

The front is kept deliberately simple with a soft collar, discreet dark button fastenings and deep side pockets. Inside, Papucei adds a brilliant contrast: a pinstriped lining that brings a tailored touch to the otherwise contemporary, unconventional design.

Wear it open to emphasise the volume and movement, or button it up for a cleaner silhouette. It’s an easy way to transform simple black separates into something much more distinctive.
